Monstrum is an awesome Danish playground design firm that creates some seriously awesome playgrounds”
MONSTRUM believes that playground design should be a reflection of the world surrounding us. We see the world as a place full of colour. We meet boys that like pink and girls that likes trees, so why only play on a monky frame and a sandbox, when you can play in a moon crater or a submarine or a giant spider or an enormous snail or a Trojans horse or a rocket or an ant or a princess castle. The fantasy is infinite.
The visual effect can endulge from a far, a tall slide, a massive tower or a wave to play on can draw kids in from the street.
As artists and designers and through our experience with building theatrical set-design at numerous theaters in Copenhagen, we have the knowledge to combine elements where not only physical activities and play evolve, but also with a visual story that creates a space where fantacy thrives.[via Super Punch]

Holy crap! I draw stick figures and arrows. This might be the best Draw Some I’ll ever see!
And Nathan Fillion agrees.
I wonder if the word was Serenity or Firefly?
An unknown artist has had some fun in Sofia, Bulgaria painting statues in the images of Superman, Ronald McDonald, Santa, the Joker and more. The ‘vandalism’ has since been cleaned up but it’s pretty cool in my opinion.
Wow. Just… Wow.

Iconic Mis-Mashes by Juan Doe
Described as “A paradoxical distillation of the word and the image as directed by the filters of randomness”, Juan has created these Banksy-like images that put famous characters and personalities in a cage match with the words that define them. The result is a fusion of absurdity and madcapped mash-ups. Follow this series exclusively at Juan’s tumblr: juandoe720.
Non-sign II is an installation by Seattle based art collective Lead Pencil Studio located at the Canada-US border near Vancouver. The sculpture is made from small stainless steel rods that are assembled together to create the negative space of a billboard. While most billboards draw attention away from the landscape, Non-sign II frames the landscape, focusing attention back on it.

“The Japanese artist Yayoi Kusama transformed a completely white room, including furniture, into a spectacle featuring her signature dots, helped by children who visited the exhibition over two weeks and placed brightly colored stickers throughout the installation at the Gallery of Modern Art, Brisbane.”
This is even more awesome in person.
